Can someone help me to get the audio settings right for dolby do i have to make settings? the box is per optical connected to a small bose 5.1 system

when i go to xbmc music addons and select a radio stream when i press exit it goes back for a second and then plays instantly the next radio in the list i just found out the cheep way by cutting power but i dont want to do that anyone can help me there?
