just download it, unzip it on a usb-stick, connect the stick on your vu and follow the flash instructions

after installing the 8.0.0 you can easily upgrade to 8.0.1 via the online update which automaticly appears after the install wizard as its released or can be started manually via the buttons blue -> green -> green

8.0.1 does not exist yet, and 8.1 will not work on the Uno, 8.1 works on Solo SE, Solo² and Duo².
XMBC will never be available on the Uno because the hardware is not powerfull enough.
