It's true it's quite used, eg. Kernel called Talon - forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1106075 on Samsung Galaxy I9000 device.
Unfortunately it seems to have some mem leaks inside and can't say whether it's related to Android or Kernel sources, but that author is fighting with it already quite long.

However I can't say if this would really have any benefits. I'm already running my VU+ with enabled swap on fast USB Flash (because of fighting with MKV/AVI freezes) and it's simply not helping.

The W95 RAM-crammer was trashed by the press, including C`t, back in the days. For good reasons. Not sure what this all is good for after all. If there really is a lack of memory, then one can`t just fix it by resetting options or cram the swap file. This would be like fixing a drug problem by giving stronger but less drugs as a remedy.

It`s clear though one can optimize parameters for a certain operation modes which always show an negative effect in other states. Or why this has never really materialized on PCs which have a more then performing CPU? In the end it's all not helping much.

No, that's not what I am trying to say.

My point was: compressing a virtual swap in Memory is a weak concept. It was back than and it is now. Faster CPU benefit more from real RAM than from compressing the same.

But let's keep it this way: optimization for special operations are always possible.

I am heavy user of Vu duo , and always have freezing or slow reaction of RC to change to other channel ,,,,etc!

I used the file attched in the first post,,,,,and it excelant now,,,no more freez or crashes!
