Warum sinkt der Preis?
Gründe könnten sein:
Die Anga Cable steht demnächst vor der Tür und damit einige Neuerscheinungen..z.B Dreambox7020HD, Vu+Primo/Ultimo, usw.
Die Verkäufer wollen ihre Lagerbestände so schnell wie möglich los werden.
CT hat "neue" konkurrenzfähige Modelle auf den Markt geworfen und einige potentielle Vu-Kunden kaufen CT statt Vu+.
Die Händler reagieren auf sinkende Absatzzahlen und senken den Preis.
-> Angebot und Nachfrage regeln den Preis.

Wenn ich keine Vu+Duo/Solo hätte und nur DVB-S2 bräuchte, würde ich immer antizyklisch kaufen; d.h. kurz bevor Neuerscheinungen auf dem Markt kommen das vom Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis bestmöglichste "auslaufende" Modell zu kaufen.
Die "Was geht damit"-Unterschiede sind doch Makulatur. Oftmals sind sie mit schlechteren Teilen verarbeitet aber dafür haben sie nen neueren Chip.
Ein neues Produkt muss nicht immer besser sein.

In meinem Fall ist es so, dass ich sowohl Kabel als auch Sat in einer Vu+Box haben will und je nach Bedarf die Tuner austauschen will..d.h. 2xS2 oder S2/C2.
Das alles sollte schnell und stabil von statten gehen und keine externe langsame USB-Stick Lösung sein.

Ob dir die Vu+Duo reicht, musst du für dich selbst entscheiden.

Wurde ich auch gerne wiesen, wann ultimo raus kommt, brauche zwei tuner.

die CPU BCM7413 hat aber im Ultimo nix verloren die können Sie in die UNO reinstecken und in die ULTIMO was neues und schnelleres wie zb.: BCM7356

Zeitlupe funktioniert seit VTI2.5 sehr gut!

du hast recht... hat aber nix mit VTI 2.5 zu tun sondern seit den letzten Treibern... Wurde ja nach einem Jahr und 3 Monaten Zeit

mich würde viel mehr interessieren, ob die Software für die HEUTIGEN boxen (VU duo und VU solo) nach erscheinen der nächsten generation
weiter entwickelt (verbessert und ggfs. neue funktionen) und gewartet (bugfixes) werden.
sowohl vom hersteller als auch von euch jungs

hat ja die uno schon 2 (1+1) tuner. ich vermute mal dass die ultimo ähnlich der dm8000 sein wird...

Nein, die Uno wird nur einen (Steck-)Tuner haben. Das was ChrisP geschrieben hat, stimmt nicht. Er hat wohl die Schlussfolgerung daraus gezogen, dass auf den Bilder von Kpt. Iglo zwei Steckplätze zu sehen sind. Das ist aber eine BETA-Box, die nicht zu 100% so in Serie geht.

for ultimo nobody said it yiet, but for uno, it has hdmi 1.3

From an economical standpoint HDMI1.4 ist realy not that important in a HDTV Receiver. There isnt much content available and it would just make the box more expensive.
I know that some people always want the top of the line hardware and almost without an reason. They just want to have it.

VU+ has to sell the box for a reasonable price in the end and satisfy most of the users and not just some that want to spend over 600€.

And who needs 2K Resolution ???? Right...nobody.

I'm not willing to pay more than 500€ for the Ultimo. My friends think the same way.

Time has changed. People learned from mistakes. Especially the ones who paid ca. 1000€ for a Dreambox8000 or 500€ for a Dreambox800.

Nobody will accept hillarious prices anymore.

It's up to Vu+, Marusys, HMSat, Satco or however you call the "Ones" to realize that otherwise they will get boycotted and get in big financial trouble.

Vu+ rised like a phoenix from the ashes and maybe will comedown ..

I agreee with you. Thats what my whole argument about HDMI1.4 was about. You cant implement everything for the smallest price.

But I think the Ultimo will cost more than 500€. I think more about 599€.
If it costs less I am happy about it.

And I also agree with you that the DM8000 is so much overpowered and overpriced. Maybe one or 2 people out of 100 use 4 tuners and everything integrated in the DM8000. But most people dont need that much stuff in the box. And at such a high price the amount of customers DMM is talking to is not that big.

I hope VU+ knocks one out of the park with the Ultimo. I will buy one if hardware and price are reasonable.
