Deleting recordings

Please explain me how to delte a record completely from hdd at the same moment when l'm deleting it from movie list? Now when i delete a record it disappear from movie list and the trash is empty but that doesn't free my spase. Image 14.0.4. Solo4k.

Clear the movietrash via menubutton in movielist or switch off the movietrash (Menue - VTI - Setup Movies).

Thank you for reply. The triky thing is that when i delete a record it doesn't go to movie trash. It still remain in movie list but become unvisible, therefore l'm unable to delete it from trash and from movie list.

The VTI image supports different trash basket systems.

You probably have configured to use the SQL database based trash.
This marks the recording as deleted in the database.
The TS file remains on the disk, but is renamed (I thing to ....ts.del or so).

You could check, which trash implementation you use.
Go to your disk using FTP and check, if there are renamed files...

Thanks. I was using openpli. There i deleted files to trash then went to trash and deleted them completely. Here that process is compicated. I have disabled trash and deleted recordings again.

You don't have to go to the trash can and delete your recordings manually for good.
The system is doing it for you, just go to "VTi|Records Settings" and set everything to your liking.
It's not complicated at all.

Hello, i have the same problem since i updated to VTI 14.
With VTI 11, when i deleted a record, i opened the disk menu and go to the field Movie_Trash and saw all the deleted records.
Now in VTI 14, nothing appears in Movie_Trash.

But i have found the bug and the solution :

1. Open the menu disk : the list of records appears.

2. Click on MENU button on the remote controller.

3. Move on the second page and choose entry : movie trash.

4. That's it : all the deleted records are there

Well, it seems the field Movie_Trash in HDD don't match with the entry menu movie trash.

Thats not a bug, it´s a feature.
It´s the database-based recycle bin.

Ok, if i disable the database-based recycle bin, the Movie_Trash acts as before, thanks.
Now i don't understand what is the benefit of database-trash, for statistics?
