Is the box bootet from flash or from another image with barry allen?

Ok, put the current original firmware direct into the flash (V3.2) and boot the box from flash. Then try to initialize the hdd again.

The VTI Image has issues formating harddisk. Different users reported that they could only initialize the disk with the original firmware, not with VTI.

Yes it should work if you flash the current original Firmware 3.2.
Therfore you can flash be using an usb stick, or using the pc tool.

But it is very important that you realy flash the image. Please do not onyl install to the usb stick by using Barry Allen Plugin.

After flashing the box remove the usb stcik from your box. After the box bootet and you run the initial setup, try initializing your hdd befor you start over to install other plugins (like Barry Allen or something else).

HERE is a brief manuel flashing the box by using a fat formated usb stick.

When the harddisk is initialized you can install VTI again. Then the HDD will be recognized even by VTI.
