how to initialized the hdd

ok dan all that deleted the volume put back on my box again but still i am getting the same error creating partition faild ...............

Have you some experience with linux? Are you able to establish a ssh-conenction form your pc to the box (maybee with putty)?

your harddisk is not recognized by the box.

have you connected data cable and the power cable?

Look at MENU - INFORMATION - ABOUT
in the following window, at the bottom, is there any information about a harddisk?

Is your harddisk connectect to the
usb port
external esata port
or the internal sata port

?

Then the harddisk is normal recognized as an /dev/sda, but on your box it isn't

can you try an

ls /dev/s*

(I mean ls -> LS)
