    • NEW BUG: Event names & description shows in random cymbals/signs !

Event names & description shows in random fonts (cymbals / signs) after the latest update ...
It happens only with channels from 28.2°E though !
      Probably a new bug.

      Please review the screenshot attached.

      Thanks

    • You can deactivate MHW EPG in the VTI settings, then they will disappear after clearing the EPG in the same settings or deteleting the EPG.dat .
For the EPG for the britisch channels you can use the EPG import plugin (if more info needed about that just asked I managed to get it to work today)

    • @Clemens

      Thanks.
This is what I did ...

VTI>MHW EPG>No (it was already 'no')
      VTI>Delete broken epg.dat>OK

      Intalled ImportEPG plugin
      Activated the UK Sources.

Result as you can see in the screenshots:
In the UK channel list it got partially OK but not for all the channel or event.
It has more cymbals in the Single channel's EPG.

      I don't think I had this problem before VTI 13.0.10 !?
So, what more can I do to make it like before?

      Greetings

    • Maybe it is one of the other EPG...you can deactivate those as well.

The EPG Import plugin need new sources (those on the VTi feed are depricated), put this file in /etc/epgimport (overwrite the existing) and select the sources as in the picture:

    • I did everything you said ...but still the same problem.
In the channel list it is now random as to which channel shows the cymbals, most are OK though.
In the single EPG list, most of them shows unfortunately the cymbals !!!

Let me know, if there is anything else you might still want me to do.
In the meantime, I'll try back the VTi v13.0.9 or older.
    • If you import EPG manual in EPG import plugin, does it load events?

It should load events and just like in my openwebif screenshots it should have correct EPG after that...
If not try to delete the EPG file once more or try to deselect the option that he should only look for favourites. Also check you have selected the correctt, new Rytec source.

    • I just restored my last backup v13.0.9 (Feb 2018).
Strangely, it gives me the same problem and I cant really recall having this error with the UK channels weeks or months ago!
      It's weird.

Please take a look at the screenshot of from my OpenWI, same prob !

      Should I download and install 13.8 or 7 or 6 ???

    • The reason is just extra added EPG services in 13.0.9 or 13.0.10, of which some are faulty for some reason.
Deactivate those services (Everything but EIT e.g.) and it should be ok, or even better get EPG import to work then you have nice EPG also on the britisch channels.
If you have it on 13.0.6 then it is just your epg.dat under media/hdd which was kept during flashing...you could try to delete this manually e.g. via telnet:

      init 4
rm /media/hdd/epg.dat (or other path, change to capitals if necessary)
      init 3

    • OK I got this working now :D

      * Deleted epg.dat via VTi & HDD
      * all 'other' EPG services NO on VTi
      * via ImportEPG UK services

BUT ... I dont get more than current/next event info anymore from UK, and a few other countries.
While the error was going on I was actually getting them ... some for the 22 days and UK for 7 days or so.
Yes, Germany, and few other countries I'm getting the full list.

Yes, I tried importing for those countries but did not work !
      Any idea?
    • I tried importing several times --- same result unfortunately.

but, I turned ON Freeview service via VTi, then I started getting more events in the SingleEPG of UK,
but as you can see, then I'm getting the cymbals back as well after the first 4 events in the list.
So Freeview & Virgin Net ON are the reason for the error, but without them you dont get more events either !

I've just noticed that when I'm using ImportEPG, always showing 0 events !!!
So, I'm not really sure if I actually iported any EPG for the UK via that plugin :D
