Anybody has success with Epgimport on Vti?

It works for me on a channel which has not EPG, but I am unable to replace EPG on a channel which has already EPG (from satellite).

I tried everything: delete epg.dat, blacklist channel from EPG update (Vti menu), nothing helped.

For simplicity I am using a very simple channel list:

rytec.sources.xml



gravi.channels.xml (service id coming from my .bouquet):


PAX is working, which has no EPG on satellite.

The other two HBO HD & TV2 does not update from the XML. Epgimport downloads and recognise it, because I see that the imported events is counting... but I don't see the new EPG data, only the original from the satellite.

Is there any way to make it work?

After many hours of trying I realised, that if I disable EIT EPG, then I am able to import EPG for these channels too.

So the problem is that the downloaded (xml) EPG does not overwrite EIT EPG. If I disable EIT EPG I loose channels which are not in the Epgimport.

It should work like on OpenPli, after importing with Epgimport it should overwrite EPG in the memory for channels which were imported.

The EPG data downloaded using EPGimport may overwrite the existing EPG data for the channel.

But as long as EIT EPG is active, it will load the EPG data from the SAT transponder as soon as you tune the transponder, thus your EPGimport data will be overwritten again with what the channel provider puts into the signal.

So, the solution to swith off EIT EPG may be the correct for you, as you want to have the EPGimport data only.

I would like to use both, but from what you wrote I think this is impossible now.

have you tried to put those channel on the blacklist, then you will have only the data from EPG Import

I thought that it is not working, but I tried again and now it is working. Thanks for the suggestion.

I suggest always after edit epg settings, reboot & the same time delete epg.dat. So you start with a fresh (and blank id you blacklisted some services) EPG.

I found a bug: if in channel guide <desc> (description) tag is missing, the actual program is not loaded... very frustrating.

Hab das wo ich das gerade eben gelesen habe mal bei mir getestet. heute morgen ging es wohl noch. Jetzt aber nicht mehr. Kann das also bestätigen. Habe das Plugin vom Feed und alles auf xy stehen.

Ich habe diese Version bei mir installiert und die läuft einwandfrei.
Auf dem Feed ist aber eine höhere Version. Jetzt blinkt bei mir in der Infobox, das ein Update
vorliegt. Wenn ich dieses Update durchführe wird auf die Feefversion upgedatet und diese funktioniert bei mir nicht.
Wie kann ich dieses Update unterdrücken ?

Welche komplett Version oder welche "rytec.sources.xml" funktioniert den jetzt noch? Sehe gar nicht mehr durch. Bei mir gehts jedenfalls seit gestern nicht mehr.

Ok habs gelöst. Mit der Version vom Feed und der im Anhang befindlichen "rytec.sources.xml" geht es wieder. Eigentlich hatte ich diese "rytec.sources.xml" schon seit VTI 13 drauf. Scheinbar hat sich wie bei @samsung01 bei irgendein Update des VTI diese Datei verändert.


Hab unter VTI > Einstellungen EPG > Ungültige epg dat" löschen benutzt und dann die "rytec.sources.xml" die ich auch schon vorher benutzt habe (auf PC gespeichert) mit FTP eingefügt. Neustart und läuft wieder.

ich habe noch VTI 11.0.2 auf der ULTIMO 4k.
Welche Version EPGImport benötige ich denn, dass die Rytec- Sourcen funktionieren?
Unter den Plugins habe ich keine andere Version gefunden!
Oder muss ich erst auf VTI 13.0.2 flashen?

gibt es Möglichkeiten für die älteren Boxen (VU + duo) mit VTI 11x den EPG import wieder zu nutzen??
Welche alternativen plugins sind nicht von der Umstellung der Listen betroffen?

EPG funktioniert wieder .... bei mir für TNT- SAT FRANCE und für UK (INTELSAT)!
